Narbonne, Toulouse and Alibi were visited in that order as part of a holiday in Spain and France by train. I took a RENFE Train from Barcelona to Cerbere. France on the border with Spain. Changing trains here for Narbonne
on a SNCF Train .. The whole journey taking about four and half hours. Arriving mid
afternoon i booked in for one night at the budget Hotel Alsace, near the rail station. Narbonne
is 849km from Paris. In the short time here i liked the place. -- The cathedral of St, Justus and Pastor
of Narbonne was started in 1272 , and it is said not finished. It is a Roman Catholic church. -- The Canal de la Robine flows through Narbonne, and is very pretty. The canal is built in a straight line. The Ponte des Marchands is a historic bridge over the canal, with shops and houses built on it.

-- Moving on from Narbonne, the train
took one and half hours.arriving at TOULOUSE - Matabau station. I checked in for 2 nights
at the Hotel Icare opposite the rail station. Toulouse is a historic city , but today it
is known as the place the first prototype of aeroplane Concorde was assembled in 1966.
Toulouse is the fourth largest city in France, and flat , good for bicycles. A large square called Place du Capitole dominates the city centre. A large pink building is the Ville Rose, in this square, it is the Town Hall and Opera House. The Ponte Neuf is a 16th century bridge over the river Garonne. The Basilica Sant-Serin de Toulouse is at Place Du Capitole. Bell Tower
from 12th century.

caught my eye. The cathedral was started in 1282 and finished 1480. and is situated in Place Saint Cecile. A catholic church. The
Palais de la Berbie, was formerly the Bishops Palace, ,{ Berbie is Bishop in French.} The
gardens of the Palace are beautiful. -------Leaving Toulouse by train to Paris takes 4 hours.
